Where are the Workers? Survey seeks to identify obstacles to hiring.

Nearly two years into the COVID-19 pandemic, area employers and job seekers are still failing to connect, despite a market that should favor job seekers.

To help companies looking to hire new employees, business leaders in Ravenna and around the region are encouraging area managers and owners to fill out the “Where Are the Workers?” survey, which Ravenna Economic Development Director Dennis West said aims to overcome regional hiring challenges.

“This survey basically asks the questions, ‘What do you see, what are the trends that may be happening, and what kinds of things are you doing to help change the environment?’” he said. “This all stemmed from our business retention visits and talking to the businesses directly.”
