Making Way for New Opportunities

By Bethia Burke, Fund President

Earlier this week, Cleveland Mayor-elect Justin Bibb announced the co-chairs of his transition team. These co-chairs will help lay the groundwork for his new administration and Director of Regional Engagement Bradford Davy is taking a brief leave of absence from the Fund to manage that transition team.

This is an exciting new challenge! It will require collaboration, innovative thinking, and a persistent focus on equity, all strengths Bradford has honed during his past few years at the Fund. Bradford’s work on the transition is a continuation of his commitment to a better Northeast Ohio, and we will all be the better for it.

This mayoral transition—Cleveland’s first in 16 years—is a critically important time for the city and the region. The next several months will provide opportunities to align priorities around a shared vision for a more equitable, more prosperous Northeast Ohio economy. We look forward to contributing our support and partnership to the new administration.

On behalf of Fund members and colleagues, I offer my heartfelt congratulations to Bradford on his appointment to Mayor-elect Bibb’s transition team and wish him all the best in this role. I am extraordinarily proud of Bradford’s leadership—a testament both to his innate talents and to our Fund’s role as a place for emerging civic leaders to develop and thrive.

Bradford, from all of us at the Fund, we can’t wait to support you in this role!
